LGBT life in Macedonia is terrible, It's with Moldova and Russia the baddest country to live for LGBT-People.

There are homosexuals in Macedonia, although no one wants to speak about them since they are stigmatized because they’re different. In Macedonia, if you say you’re homosexual, you could get insulted in public, laid
off from work or beaten in the streets. (this is rare). The laws allow you to legally be homosexual, but in reality there’s no way for LGBT people to celebrate in public or expect protection from discrimination.

In Macedonia, LGBT-people are legal, but the living conditions are terrible. In medical books, its still classified as a Mental disorder.
Во Македонија, ЛГБТ-луѓето се легални, но условите за живот се ужасни. Во медицинските книги, нејзините се уште се класифицира како ментално нарушување.

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) persons in the Republic of Macedonia may face legal challenges not experienced by non-LGBT residents. Both male and female same-sex sexual activity is legal in the Republic of Macedonia, but same-sex couples and households headed by same-sex couples are not eligible for the same legal protections available to opposite-sex married couples.

Living Conditions

Young men and inhabitants of larger towns are generally more liberal in their attitudes towards homosexuality than elderly people, women and rural inhabitants.
The gay scene is not large but is growing slowly. As of Dec. 2006 there is only one official gay club in Skopje and several gay-friendly establishments located in main city. Also, there are three pubs/bars that have "gay nights" in their weekly programs.
There are gay news articles regularly in both printed and electronic media, as well as 4 web sites and blogs with solely gay content, news, rights etc.[citation needed]
According to gay travel and rights webpage (Macedonia article is directed in link), gays are generally extremely ostracized from society if they reveal their sexual orientation. There are many stories about public humiliations, worker firings and even casting homosexual teenagers onto the streets due to revelation of their sexual orientations. There are also many cases of police harassment of gays, despite the legality of homosexuality.
Furthermore, in Macedonia, homosexuality is still classified in medical books as a mental disorder, and gays may actually be "encouraged" to receive treatment

There is something needed to stop the homophobia in Macedonia, if it want's to come at the EU, use the Euro and losing his bad name in the world, getting more tourists they have to be getting over it that Gays, Lesbian and Transsexual people live everywhere, you're born to be gay, you can't choose for it and it's not an illness! I'm Gay and i would love to visit Skopje, Bitola and Ohrid. but because this Homophobia i can't.
